Sophia Hsiang Ping Ma attends the 26th Hong Kong International Education and Careers Expo and hosts a presentation on Studying in Taiwan

The 26th Hong Kong International Education and Careers Expo, organized by the Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong, was held on July 6–7 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Sophia Hsiang Ping Ma, Education Counselor at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Hong Kong was invited to host a session on topics that included choosing and applying to attend a university in Taiwan and then working in Hong Kong after graduating.

Ms. Ma opened the session with a presentation on Directions for Study in Taiwan.

Two graduates of universities in Taiwan then shared their own experience of studying there and finding a job in Hong Kong afterwards. Mr. Wong, a graduate of the Department of Geomatics at National Cheng Kung University reported getting lots of job offers after just two days back Hong Kong and he mentioned the beautiful environment and enjoying life in Tainan. Ms. Chong, a graduate of the Department of Mass Communication at Tamkang University, talked about her career at TVB (a major television broadcasting company in Hong Kong) and how her employer, manager, and co-workers appreciate the skills she acquired during her university studies in Taiwan. Representatives of seven universities in Taiwan then gave brief outlines of the features of their universities and various department programs.

After the session, audience members went to the Taiwan Education Zone to talk with people from different universities in Taiwan and get more information and practical advice.
