Project Intent

1. To enhance the international perspective of pre-service teachers and their understanding of the education systems in various countries.
2. To strengthen the foreign language proficiency and multicultural literacy of pre-service teachers.
3. To cultivate in pre-service teachers a humanistic concern, pädagogishe liebe, and the ability to provide professional services with care for the disadvantaged.

Key Projects

1. Overseas Teacher Traineeship Project: To provide subsidies to universities with teacher-training programs and to pre-service teachers so they can do student teaching in developed countries, overseas Taiwanese expatriate schools, and Taiwanese expatriate schools in China.
2. Overseas Teaching Internship Project: To provide subsidies to universities with teacher-training programs and to pre-service teachers to conduct educational internships in developed countries, overseas Taiwanese expatriate schools, and Taiwanese expatriate schools in China.
3. International Schweitzer Project: To provide subsidies to universities with teacher-training programs and to pre-service teachers to provide care and education service in schools in developing countries.
