Option 1: National Library Implementation of New Technologies for Enhanced Operational Processes and Services

1. The National Central Library will establish smart net-zero carbon reduction facilities and high-quality spaces, smart service experience facilities, digital technology infrastructure, and a cloud-based library service platform.
2. The National Taiwan Library will establish a demonstration center for creative ageing technology environments.
3. The National Library of Public Information will establish a smart service environment and reading experience spaces.

Option 2: Public Libraries Establishing Technological Environments and Providing Innovative Services

Sub-project 1: 2.1 Establishment of Technological Application and Innovative Service Environments in Nationalwide Public Libraries

1. To support the development of library services and the continuous  investment in reading initiatives by municipalities, county (city) governments, and townships (towns, cities).
2. To construct distinctive main libraries that align with the core objectives of this project, coordinating operations, integrating services, sharing resources, and exchanging information with libraries within their respective regions, thereby improving the quality of library services throughout the region.
3. To attract readers of all age groups to actively utilize library resources and enhance national innovative learning thinking.
4. To connect technological applications in local branch libraries (township libraries), thereby improving the operational efficiency of libraries.
5. To create maker spaces and creative ageing technology services, and to introduce smart reading spaces, thereby enhancing readers' self-directed learning abilities.

Sub-project 2: 2.2 Guidance for Public Libraries in Establishing Technological Environments and Providing Innovative Services

1. To implement a guidance work plan for the establishment of technological application and innovative experimental environments and the enhancement of services in public libraries.
2. To guide public libraries that have received subsidies under Sub-project 1, "Establishment of Technological Application and Innovative Service Environments in Public Libraries," to assess local characteristics and integrate various external resources such as schools, industries, and communities to develop systematic application plans, thereby facilitating service promotion and dissemination.
3. To organize talent development and exchange activities.
