2006 Industry-Government-Academia Forum on Taiwan's Emerging Services Industries and Exhibition of R&D Results of Technical Colleges and Polytechnics and Services Industries

MOE in the morning of Tuesday, October 24 held Exhibition of R&D Results of Culture Creative Technology of Technical Colleges and Polytechnics. Fourteen technical colleges and polytechnics having had outstanding performance in R&D of culture creative technology announced 16 R&D technologies. At the exhibition, two schools signed an agreement with private firms to jointly develop two technologies. Meantime, other R&D results have also attracted many private firms' attention and inquiries.

At the exhibition, an announcement of 2006 Industry-Government-Academia Forum on Taiwan 's Emerging Services Industries and Exhibition of R&D Results of Technical Colleges and Polytechnics and Services Industries to be held between Tuesday, October 28 and Saturday, October 31 at Taichung World Trade Center ( No. 60 Tianbao St. , Taichung City 407) was made. The event is sponsored by MOE and other ministries of Executive Yuan. Outstanding collaborative industry-academia R&D results produced by National Taichung Nursing College (immediate care of newborn babies), Chaoyang University of Technology (industry-academia results of recreational services industry - industry-academia collaborative results of Yamay) will be exhibited. Executive Yuan has established its future objective and vision of building a Creative Taiwan. Therefore, it has put forward Plan to Develop Culture Creative Industries, incorporating industries of different professions such as culture, art and design into the concept of "creative industries" and including them in the key programs of national development.

The exhibition is based on national policy and market demand and is the result of close collaboration with private firms. At the exhibition, Ling Tung University and Tainan Corporate Culture Art Foundation signed an agreement to work on Creative Design of Love Culture Clothing project, while Kun Shan University and Chinese Cartoon Production Co., Ltd. signed an agreement to work on Early Stage Creative Pilot Film of Eight Celestials Digital Animation Film.

Schools participating in the exhibition and their exhibits are: China University of Technology exhibited carbon fiber board's application in repairing components of antiquities, National Taipei University of Technology exhibited evolution of quality cultural objects, Tainan University of Technology exhibited R&D of digital audiovisual technology, Fortune Institute of Technology exhibited paper models of classic Taiwan rail stations, Southern Taiwan University of Technology exhibited design concept and fabricating technique, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology exhibited activation development culture creative products and creative towel packaging design, Kun Shan University exhibited early stage creative development of digital animation films, and Shu-Te University exhibited the design and fabrication of glass art turned into living products.

In addition, Chin Min Institute of Technology exhibited Zikeliezhuan (creative packaging of Hakka delicacies), Lunghwa University of Science and Technology exhibited structured light 3D scanner and its applications, Ling Tung University exhibited creative design of love culture clothing, Jin Wen Institute of Technology exhibited visual identification planning with pattern combination as the core of thinking - using the visual identification planning of Shicao Village, Xiashi, Pinglin, Taipei County as an example, Shu-Te University exhibited culture creativity vs. life creativity, Chienkuo Technology University exhibited the world of cultural industries and digital content ( Zhuge Liang vs. Da Vinci), Chaoyang University of Technology exhibited the design appeal of "metal processing classroom" led by Xiao Ming-yu of Department of Industrial Design, Global Embroidery R&D Center of Tainan University of Technology exhibited a milch cow. At the exhibition, in order to create the natural beauty of unlimited possibilities of changes of glass during the process of high-temperature burning and melting and the spectacular, elegant light shadow effect, Teacher Qiu Qiu-de of Product Design Department of Shu-Te University, in the design of turning glass art into living products, provided samples that were made at the exhibition. Meantime, Global Embroidery R&D Center of Tainan University of Technology gave away embroidered products including handkerchiefs.
