Minister of Education, Dr. Tu, Cheng-sheng received officials from Gambia and held luncheon to welcome them on July 8, 2005. Heading Gambia delegation was Ms. Fatou L. Faye, the Secretary of State for Education. Delegation members included Mr. Barboucarr Bouy, the Director of Planning, Policy Analysis, Research and Budgeting Directorate of State for Education; Mrs. Kumba Conateh Nam, the First Assistant Secretary of State for Education; Mr. Ousman G.M. Nyang, the Director of the Bureau of Technical Education and Vocational Training; and Mrs. Fatou Mbye, the Director of the Center of Technical Education and Vocational Training. The delegates spoke highly of Taiwan's advances in education and discussed possible links of cooperation between Gambia and the Republic of China.
